Hey there!

I’m a Segment Producer at Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, educator, and a writer for the page, stage, and screen.

At Patriot Act, I pitched and co-produced the episodes Don’t Ignore the Asian Vote in 2020, Cricket Corruption, and Censorship in China. Before the show, I worked in arts education and community engagement at Ping Chong + Company, a National Medal of Arts winning theater company. In 2019, I was named one of “25 Under 25 Leaders in U.S.-China Relations” by Yale’s China Hands magazine.

My original TV pilot Black Vinegar was a semi-finalist for the Fox Writer’s Lab, and as a 2017 IFP Screen Forward Fellow, I developed a scripted series about teenage female snowboarders. My non-fiction and fiction can be found in Atlas Obscura, Catapult, and Jellyfish Review.

I’m a passionate rallier of causes, whether I’m strategizing a creative way to fundraise for NYC’s Chinatowns or teaching writing and the arts for cross-cultural understanding and empowerment. At Hyphen magazine, I edit and mentor emerging Asian American writers, and I’ve led literature summer camps at Stanford and Beijing University.

Born in Beijing, I spent my childhood in Virginia and moved to Hong Kong at age eight. Now, I live in Brooklyn and like everyone else, am working on a novel!
